Saludos del Director

Con mucha alegría acepté la oferta de la Sra. Paula de Schneider, Presidente de la “Asociación Educativa Colegio Alemán de Panamá”, de trabajar como Director de la nueva escuela alemana NIKOLAUS KOPERNIKUS en Panamá a partir de agosto.

Me complace asumir este desafío de buscar un camino hacia el futuro y dar un nuevo impulso a la educación en Panamá junto a un equipo comprometido. Casi todos los educadores hoy en día están de acuerdo con que “en nuestras escuelas, existen profesores del siglo XX enseñando a alumnos del siglo XXI con métodos del siglo XIX “(José Pacheco). Por eso, basado en experiencias pasadas, vamos a desarrollar en nuestro colegio trilingüe nuevos conceptos, con los cuales no debemos sentir reticencia para aceptar ideas innovadoras que se ven en otros países del mundo. Hablamos por ejemplo del concepto de “inteligencias múltiples” de Howard Gardner, de las ideas fascinantes de la teoría del “Game-based Learning” del movimiento “Quest to Learn” o de otras realizaciones exitosas de la “nueva educación” – pero siempre vamos a tener un objetivo a la vista:

Una escuela para todos los niños, orientada a desarrollar todo el potencial de sus alumnos, fomentar sus fortalezas y motivarlos en un ambiente libre de temores y así obtener todas las habilidades que se requieren en el mundo de hoy y de mañana.

Espero con ansia trabajar con este conjunto de niños y padres comprometidos.
